Guidelines for Contributors
ABC is published semi-annually. Both issues of each year are thematic and the themes are posted 2 months before the deadline for submissions. Submissions on any aspect of English Studies past and present will be considered, but preference will be given to pieces that cross the conventional boundaries of specialism, engaging the proposed theme directly and with authority. Contributors are advised to look at past issues of the journal as they are gradually archived on the journal site before submitting their work. Manuscripts should be between 4,000 and 7,000 words of text in length, or twenty-five to thirty-five pages inclusive of double-spaced notes. All manuscripts should be submitted with text and notes typewritten and double-spaced, and prepared according to guidelines in the latest edition (6 th ed.) of The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers . Names, titles, dates, and quotations should be checked carefully for accuracy. The completed and revised manuscripts should be emailed to: firstname.lastname@example.org . Alternatively, authors may choose to address their contributions to: The Editors, ABC Journal, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Department of British and American Studies, 550 024 Sibiu , Bd.-l Victoriei 5-7, Romania . Hard copies should be submitted in triplicate.
ABC is a peer-reviewed journal that aspires to cover the best in research and scholarship. All texts submitted to ABC including solicited articles will be sent to subject specialist reviewers for evaluation. Authors' names should appear only on a cover sheet and any identifiers in the text should be masked so that manuscripts can be reviewed anonymously. ABC reviews only unpublished manuscripts that are not simultaneously under review for publication elsewhere. Please supply an abstract of 200 or fewer words with your paper, followed by a brief author's bio for our Notes on Contributors.
All editorial correspondence, including books for review should be directed to: The Editors, ABC Journal, Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Department of British and American Studies, 550 024 Sibiu , Bd.-l Victoriei 5-7, Romania .
